US Civil War Army Remington . CWG67

$2,200.00

American Civil War Remington Army Revolver. Very worn condition.

Additional Notes: The Remington New Model Army Revolver was a significant firearm during the American Civil War. Known for its ruggedness and accuracy, this .44 caliber six-shooter was widely used by Union forces. One of its key features was the solid frame with a top strap, which added strength and prevented exploded percussion caps from falling into the gun’s internal workings. The New Model Army also had a rear sight groove along the top strap, providing better sighting compared to other handguns of the time. The U.S. Ordinance Department purchased around 115,563 of these revolvers, making it the second most popular sidearm during the Civil War.
