Additional Notes: The WW2 German SA Sports Badge (SA-Sportabzeichen) was a decoration awarded in Germany from 1933 to 1945. It was initially instituted by SA-Stabschef Ernst Rohm in November of 1933, and was originally issued only in bronze. The badge was awarded to members of the SA (Sturmabteilung) and later to other German military and paramilitary organizations for physical fitness, military defense, and field exercises. The badge features a circular oak-leaf wreath encompassing an upward-pointing Roman broad sword superimposed on a central, canted swaz. It was available in three grades: bronze, silver, and gold, with the bronze being the most common.
