WW2 German SS Dagger F. Herder . D942

$3,200.00

WW2 German SS Service Dagger by F. Herder A.S. Solingen. Early period dagger 1933-35. Blade with in-and-out marks, however, still overall very nice condition with much of the cross graining visible. Blade has the typical SS motto, “Meine Erhe heisst Treue” or “My Honor is Loyalty”. The blade tang is also marked with the Herder cross keys logo. Good condition nickel fittings, nice nickel eagle. The upper and lower guards are both “H” marked internally. The main issue with this dagger is the large chuck out of the black hardwood grip near the top area. The lower cross guard back has the district stamped “I” (for Munich). Has steel based anodized scabbard with all 4 scabbard screws in place, scabbard ball has the typical small hit/crush to the bottom that you often see on these and has heavy wear to the anodized finish. Very worn condition with damage to upper grip area.
