WW2 Japanese Army Officer Sword . NNJ465

WW2 Imperial Japanese Army (IJA) Officer Sword (Shin-gunto). Blade in nice overall condition with nice wavy harmon (temper line) with some surface scratches.  One-hole nakago (tang) is signed. The blade habaki (blade collar) is single piece basic brass type. The sword has the earlier type brass tsuba (hand guard) with multiple cut outs. The tsuba and spacers (seppa) are all matching numbered. The military-style hilt (tsuka) is the typical officer type, it is constructed of a wood base, covered in ray skin with the traditional 3 brass cherry blossoms, with brown wrap. The metal scabbard (saya) is in decent condition, however, does have one indentation on one side near bottom portion. The blade is approximately 25 inches in length (about 26 inches counting the habaki), approximately 36 inches overall length. There is some play in the tsuba area, might need another spacer, however, I would recommend leaving as-is so it locks in the scabbard properly. Overall, a nice condition signed ww2 Army officer sword.
