US Early 1800s Militia Officer Eagle Head Sword – AW Spies . SU56

United States 1820s-1840s Militia Officer Eagle Head Sword. The sword has “Blue and Gold” blade that is marker marked by “A.W. Spies” near the ricasso with basic design engraving on both sides of blade. It also has a nicely designed guard, pommel, and shield. The pearl grip is in decent condition with some damage near top of grip, also, has a wire wrap on grip. The sword has been cleaned and polished up a bit. The brass scabbard is in good condition with basic engraved designs and some small hits and indentations on scabbard. Overall, a decent condition early American sword with nice display look.
