Additional Notes: The WW2 German Sudetenland Medal (also known as the 1 October 1938 Commemorative Medal or Czech Conquest Medal) was a medal awarded by WW2 Germany to commemorate the occupation of the Sudetenland in October of 1938 and the subsequent occupation of Czechoslovakia in March of 1939. Instituted in October of 1938, the medal was awarded to German military personnel, state officials, and members of the SS who participated in these occupations. The medal’s design features a man holding the WW2 German flag on one side, symbolizing the annexation of the Sudetenland, and the date “1. Oktober 1938” on the reverse, surrounded by the words “Ein Volk, Ein Reich, Ein Führer” (One People, One Nation, One Leader).
