U.S. Civil War (long issue) Cannon Vent Pick. It has screw-twist at one end with a circular loop at the other. It is maker marked “Waterbille Arsenal, NY”. It measures 20 inches long, tip to tip. Artillery vent picks were used to pierce the cartridge bag within the bore, which then allowed the flame from the primer to reach the propellant charge.
