U.S. WW2 Army Mess Kit/Can. Mess can is two parts with the lid or top that can be used as a plate and a pan with foldout handle that also serves to close the mess kit. The handle is U.S. marker marked and dated 1942. Height approximately 2 1/4 inches. Magnet sticks to the two-section plate section and to the lower pan section (appears to be some type of steel). The mess kit has initials on top of plate area. The Mess/Meat can is in heavily worn and used condition with a corrosion and rust areas on bottom of pan.
