WW2 German Late War Erastz K98 Bayonet Frog. Hard to find. Double layered canvas back with leather front portion. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: During mid to late 1944 German raw materials were becoming difficult to obtain. During this time, Germany started making these Ersatz (Replacement) K98 bayonet frogs with the back section made from double layered canvas and the front portion from a type of recycled leather. These frogs were stitched and riveted to provide extra strength.
