U.S. M1840 Light Artillery Saber. Very worn condition with much corrosion on scabbard. Small portion of original hanger only left. No wire wrap left on handle. I cannot find any inspector or marker marks at all on the blade or handle. This one was picked up by local NC picker straight out of a NC family supposedly. A very heavily worn condition sword with a lot of corrosion on the scabbard.
