Additional Notes: The Schießbecher, or “shooting cup,” was a German grenade launcher used during WW2. It was designed to be attached to rifles like the Karabiner 98k. The anti-personnel grenade round, known as the Gewehr Spreng Granat 30, was one of the specialized grenades developed for this launcher. The Schießbecher had a short rifled barrel that helped stabilize the grenade’s trajectory. The Gewehr Spreng Granat 30 round was a 30mm anti-personnel grenade with a spring-loaded bakelite fuse and a screw-off bakelite base. It was used with a propellant cartridge and the Schießbecher to direct the projectile. The launcher could be used against infantry, fortifications, and light armored vehicles up to a range of 280 meters.
