$150.00

WW2 German 2-Piece Glass Smoke Device (Grenade). Only the glass portions. Inert. Blendkorper (smoke screen grenade). Very heavily worn condition.

Additional Notes: The Blendkorper 2H was a non-lethal smoke grenade used by the German Wehrmacht during WW2. It was designed to temporarily blind the crews of pillboxes and vehicles by releasing a thick white smoke when it burst. The grenade consisted of two glass bulbs, an outer bulb containing 250 grams of titanium tetrachloride and an inner bulb with 25 grams of calcium chloride. When the grenade was thrown and the glass broke, the chemicals reacted to produce the smoke. The Blendkorper 2H was roughly the size of a light bulb but made from thicker glass.
