United States Shoulder Holster. Most likely private purchase holster (no “US” embossed on front of holster). 1940s (WW2) era. Worn condition with a very worn condition strap.
Additional Notes: The WW2 M3 Colt 1911 .45 Shoulder Holster was designed in 1942, it was standard issue for aircraft and tank crews, and quickly became popular with paratroopers and infantry as well. Made from high-quality leather, it features brass snaps and buckles and is often embossed with “U.S.” to indicate military issue.
