United States Air Force Base small coffee tray. Engraved on tray to:  Newcomer’s Coffee, J.C.A.F.B., Nov 59 (James Connally Air Force Base). Marker marked on bottom of tray: Chippendale International Silver Company 6342. Size approximately 11 inches x 9 inches. Worn condition.

 

Additional Notes: James Connally Air Force Base, located near Waco, Texas, has a rich history. It was originally established as Waco Army Airfield in 1942 during WW2. The base was a key training site for pilots and navigators. In 1948, it was renamed Connally Air Force Base in honor of Colonel James T. Connally, a Waco native who was killed in action during WW2. The base played a significant role during the Cold War, providing advanced training for various Air Force personnel. The base was closed in 1968, and the site is now home to Texas State Technical College (TSTC) Waco Airport.
