United States Pair of Army Officer Leather Leggings/Spats. Marker marked on leggings, however, very difficult to make out. Most likely ww1 era. Very heavily worn condition.
Additional Notes: The Military Leggings are designed to cover soldier’s boots from the ankle up to prevent snagging and keep stones, mud, and other debris from getting inside the soldier’s boots and to provide additional ankle support. They are often referred to as gaiters or spats as well.
