WW2 German Eagle Order Breast Star . GO5101

WW2 Order of the German Eagle 2nd Class Breast Star (Verdienstorden vom Deutschen Adler, Bruststern II. Klasse). 6-Pointed Star. Constructed of gilded silver with enamels. Marked “900” on pin for silver content and “21” for the maker of Godet Berlin. Nice overall condition with nice patina.

Additional Notes: The WW2 German Eagle Order Breast Star was a prestigious award instituted in May of 1937. It was primarily awarded to foreigners as a mark of recognition and esteem by the German Government. The breast star version features the 2nd class badge at the center of a six-pointed star, which was worn on the lower left breast.
