WW2 German M38 Luftwaffe DD Paratrooper Helmet . HG1502

WW2 German M38 Luftwaffe Double Decal Paratrooper Helmet. Size and marker marked ET71 and Lot/Production # 4199 (most likely produced during 1939). Smooth feldgrau paint utilized by the Army with the German National shield decal on one side and the Luftwaffe eagle decal on the other side. The liner retaining rivets are spanner type, however, the chinstrap assembly is no longer present. Leather liner is correct original to the helmet and features the proper pad inserts.  Helmet also has a certificate of authenticity from the author of several helmet books, Kelly Hicks. Overall, a very rare paratrooper helmet that displays heavy wear to the finish and liner. You do not see these helmets come up much on the open market.
