WW2 German Helmet Shell . HG1508

WW2 German M40 Combat Helmet Shell. No liner, however, it still has the metal band and rivets. It appears that either the GI or some collector afterwards painted this one with different designs with large outlined swaz on the top and the front of the helmet and painted on a crude national shield decal on the side. Very heavily worn condition with several ding hits to shell.
