United States WW2 Army Officer Visor Cap. Visor cap is marker marked on interior: Knox New York. No size tag I could find in this one, however, appears to be about a size 6 7/8 US using a cap measuring tool. Most likely 1940s-1950s (WW2-Korea era). Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The United States Army officer visor cap from WW2 was a distinctive piece of headgear worn by officers, ranging from Lieutenant to General. These caps were typically made with a wool, felt, or twill upper covers, a mohair band for officers, and a leather or faux leather visor, with a brass officer cap insignia that resisted rust. They were designed for both formal and everyday wear, offering a professional and authoritative look.
