U.S. WW1 Army Officer Garrison Cap. Most likely European made for the AEF (American Expeditionary Forces). Round black ink stamp and ink number on stitched inner sweatband, however, very faded and difficult to make out. Length of cap approximately 11 1/4 inches. Overall, in decent condition, especially, considering age (over 100+ years old).
Additional Notes: The American Expeditionary Forces (AEF) was a formation of the U.S. Army on the Western Front of WW1. The AEF was established in July of 1917, in France under the command of Gen. Pershing. It fought alongside French Army, British Army, Canadian Army, New Zealand Army and Australian Army units against the Imperial German Army.
