Imperial German Railroad Stein 1901/03 (Damaged) . IMM449

Imperial German Eisenbahn (Railroad) Stein. Damaged stein where the bottom portion broke in several pieces, and someone glued back together, however, not done very well. Named on around edge of top lid, however, hard to make our script.  A portion appears to be to 2. Eisenb. Rgt. N III Berlin 1901/03 (pictured). Also, marker marked on bottom of stein. The lid bears a railroad engine and the thumb lift is a Garde unit type eagle, showing the fact that Eisenbahn troops were part of the elite Imperial Guard and charged with the duty of guarding and maintaining the railroad system within Germany. Height approximately 10 1/2 inches and width approximately 4 inches. Damaged condition.
