Japanese Order of Pillars of the State 2nd Class Breast Star. Worn condition.
Additional Notes: The Japanese Order of Pillars of the State 2nd Class Breast Star was instituted in 1936. The award was an eight point star consisting of clusters of five smooth silver rays between clusters of seven smooth silver gilt rays of increasing lengths, the obverse center bears insignia of the order, four red enameled pillars with four rectangles at each demonstrating a repeated cross, between each pillar lay twelve inset pearls, two small pearls at each base and one larger pearl at the end of a short smooth ray, the direct center presents a yellow enameled octagon with thin black, white, blue and red enamel borders, reverse center bears Japanese script, along with four screws and a vertical pinback flanked by dual stays. The Order of the Pillars of the State was awarded between 1936 and 1945.
