WW2 Japanese Golden Kite Medal for Bravery 7th class in black lacquered wood case. Very worn condition ribbon. The order consisted of seven classes. Enlisted rank soldiers were eligible for the 5th–7th classes. I believe this one is from approximately 1930s-1940s (ww2) era. In worn condition.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Order of the Golden Kite was a military award, conferred for bravery, leadership, or command in battle. The order consisted of seven classes. The Order was established in February of 1890 by Emperor Meiji. It was officially abolished in 1947 by the Supreme Commander for the Allied Powers (SCAP) during the occupation of Japan, after WW2.
