Reproduction WW2 German Anti-Partisan badge in Bronze Grade. This is a reproduction badge. This reproduction is not made of the proper base metal materials, which should be a zinc-alloy and is lacking several major characteristics of original badges. However, this reproduction does have good quality detail on the front of the badge but does fall well short of originals. Worn condition with several damaged areas, especially to the back area of the badge, along the edges.
Reproduction badge.
Additional Notes: The WW2 German Anti-Partisan Badge (Bandenkampfabzeichen) was a military badge awarded to members of the Wehrmacht, Luftwaffe, Police, and Waffen-SS for participating in anti-partisan operations. Instituted in January of 1944, it recognized those who fought against partisans and irregular fighters, especially on the Eastern Front. The badge features a skull and crossed bones at the base, a laurel wreath of oak leaves around the sides, and a sword in the center with a swaz on the handle. It came in three grades: Bronze (for 20 combat days), Silver (for 50 combat days), and Gold (for 100 combat days).
