WW2 German Police NCO Sword Krebs SS Marked . SG196

WW2 German Municipal Police NCO Sword (Degen). Sword is SS proof marked both under the cross guard and on the scabbard throat. Maker marked with the logo for Krebs Solingen on the blade ricasso. The sword blade measures approximately 33 inches and about 38 inches overall length. This is a straight sword, with a single-sided blade. The blade is in decent condition with a lot of graying and wear. The eagle on the handle is in nice shape with a bit of wear to the grip. The paint on the scabbard with some wear and scuffs. Leather buffer pad piece is still in place. The sword fits nicely into the scabbard. Overall, a decent SS proof marked police sword.
