Japanese Sword Handle (Damaged) . SJ331

Japanese Wakizashi tsuka (hilt/handle). Damaged condition. Very heavily worn condition missing end cap (Kashira) and missing fuchi  (sword handle collar). The handle cloth wrap (Ito) is also damaged and in very rough condition. The menuki (the metal ornaments under handle wrap) in good condition with gilt highlights (hard to make out the design under the wrap). I believe this is Edo period (1603-1867). Damaged, could be used as a project piece or parts piece. Basically, selling this for the price of the menuki.

Additional Notes: The menuki are the decorative metal ornaments that are woven under the handle wrapping.
