Additional Notes: The “Deutschland Erwache” (Germany Awake) Standard was a symbol used during the 1930s and early 1940s in Germany. It featured a blood-red silk background with white lettering and a black swastika on a white circle, trimmed with alternating red, black, and white fringe. These standards were designed to represent the power and unity of the WW2 German regime. The history and development of these standards are detailed in a book by Ulric of England titled “Deutschland Erwache: The History and Development of the Party and the ‘Germany Awake’ Standards”. The book covers various aspects, including: The conception and design of the standards; The evolution of the flags and their use in different ww2 German organizations such as the SA, SS, NSKK, and NSFK; The symbolism and cultural significance of the standards; and Post-war survival and how these standards are collected and preserved today.
