American Civil War model 1862 Collins “Hospital Corps” knife with its original leather scabbard still intact. The leather scabbard is very heavily worn and rough shape with the seam split in the back of the scabbard area. This knife has the Collins Civil War era makers mark on the blade. Although this knife was sold by the Collins Co. to the Military Hospital Corps, it proved to be a great fighting knife. Very worn condition rare knife.
