U.S. WW2 6th Army Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Utilized from 1927-1945, however, saw limited use of this earlier version of the 6th army patch during WW2. Size approximately 2 1/2 inches across. Worn and used condition.
ADDITIONAL NOTE
The 6th Army saw extensive service in the South Pacific during WW2, including in New Britain, New Guinea, and the Philippines. Postwar it served stateside training army forces until its inactivation during force reduction in 1995. The army was reactivated in 2007.
