United States Distinguished Service Medal (DSM) with oakleaves for 2nd award in case. Numbered “710” on rim. Most likely ww1 era. Hard to find DSM early maroon leather case. Unknown recipient, however, can narrow down a bit with the following information: double award winners with DSM in WW1, double award winners ww1 that we don’t know number, winners with also a LoH (Knight) French. This leads to a possible candidate of Major General James Alexander Ulio, US Army. Group also has French Legion of Honor, Knight, in case as well. Nice WW1 DSM with oak leaf cluster that has a low number in early case along with a cased French LoH. Can not confirm recipient, however, can identify a likely candidate. Very nice looking early numbered DSM with oakleaf cluster.
